Rangers transfer news: Huge Hamza Igamane exit claim emerges
Rangers attacker Hamza Igamane has admitted that his dream is to play for a big club in the future.
He’s admitted that he wants to play for Morocco and eventually represent a top club in Europe to take his career to the next level.
According to TBR Football [17 December], Everton are among the clubs keen on signing the 22-year-old attacker in January.
In an interview with Le 360 Sport [9 January], Igamane said: “Like any Moroccan player, my dream is to wear the jersey of the Moroccan national team. I also want to help my team as much as possible and, eventually, play for a big club in Europe.”
Hamza Igamane has ambitions loftier than Rangers
Gers will surely be aware that if Igamane keeps on scoring goals for fun and improves year on year, it’s going to be harder for the club to keep him.
Currently, it’s clubs like Everton, that are in the bottom half of the Premier League, interested, but if he maintains this level of form, clubs in the Champions League and potentially top European sides may also be keen on securing the Moroccan’s services.
The Ibrox outfit are sitting on a potentially high-yielding asset and while fans will hate to see him go, they know he will have loftier ambitions.
Rangers can make a significant profit on Hamza Igamane
The club can look to cash in on him at the right time and potentially make close to 10 times the fee they signed him for.
In recent months, he has proven to be a valuable asset for Gers. having joined for £2.5million [Scotsman] in the summer.
It seems unlikely that he will leave the club in January, but if he ends the season as their highest scorer and wins matches singlehandedly, a summer move might be on the cards.
In other Rangers news, an update has emerged on the club securing the permanent transfer of a two-time league-winning midfielder.
