Vaclav Cerny January exit: New Rangers exit update emerges

Villarreal manager Marcelino seems convinced that Rangers attacker Vaclav Cerny will be an “important” January signing, according to Fichajes.

The news outlet reported on 3 January that the La Liga outfit believed the Czech Republic international would be a perfect fit for their side due to his experience in European competitions.

Cerny has been a key player for Philippe Clement’s side this season, chipping in with 10 goals and six assists across all competitions.

Rangers need Vaclav Cerny to stay until the end of the season

The 27-year-old moved to Ibrox on loan from Wolfsburg and while it is a one-year deal, the Bundesliga club can still look to make a sale in January.

This would obviously need an agreement from all parties and Gers are unlikely to play ball that easily.

As mentioned above, his 16 goals and assists combined showcase just how important he is to Clement and the rest of the first-team squad.

Without him, the club would be worse off and that’s saying something given how badly this season has gone so far.

Hopefully, for Gers, nothing comes out of this and they manage to hold on to his services at least until the end of the season.

After that, it remains to be seen if a permanent transfer is on the cards for the Ibrox outfit.

In other Rangers news, it has been revealed who Nils Koppen is looking to bring to Ibrox in the January transfer window.
