Vaclav Cerny appears to have made his decision on not returning to Rangers next season after his recent comments.

The Czech Republic international moved to Ibrox on loan from Bundesliga club VFL Wolfsburg and has hit the ground running at his new club.

The 27-year-old has already scored four goals and provided an assist in nine league appearances for the Glasgow outfit.

Rangers loanee Vaclav Cerny gives an interview

Recently, he gave an interview where he spoke about the start he's had at Rangers and then went on to talk about his future.

Usually, this early in a player's loan spell, they usually speak positively and state that they'd love to return to the club next season as well.

However, Cerny claims that he's already got a plan for what's next but does not want to talk about it right now.

Via Football Scotland, he said: "I am supposed to return to Wolfsburg after this season, but honestly, I'm only focused on this campaign, Rangers' success and my own.

"I want to have the best season of my career in terms of goals and assists. And then we'll see. Of course I have a plan, but there's no point talking about it yet."

Rangers need an attacker like Vaclav Cerny for next season

Had he been sure about returning, he could've said that he was loving life at Ibrox and will certainly see if things work out for him and come back next season.

With these comments, he almost sees this as a one-year mission before he moves on to the next one.

Much like Abdallah Sima, failure to sign a player like him next season would be a major blow given how there's already such a big gulf with Celtic.

Hopefully, if Cerny does not stay, there are plans to sign another quality game changer in the final third.
