Ryan Kent set for Rangers return in bombshell new transfer

Ryan Kent is set to rejoin Rangers in the January transfer window, according to BBO Sports.

The Turkish outlet reported to its 675,000 followers on X (2 January) that the English winger will return to Ibrox after a nightmare spell in his career.

Kent is currently a free agent after leaving Fenerbahce, only making 19 appearances in Turkey after leaving the Light Blues back in 2023.

David Edgar, founder of the Heart and Hand podcast responded to the news, admitting he had heard the rumour floating around a possible transfer.

Ryan Kent to seal huge Rangers transfer

This is huge news.

With the January transfer window opening and the Bears sealing a 3-0 Old Firm win over Celtic on Thursday, fans are ecstatic today.

Shutting off the day with news that Kent could be returning to Ibrox would be fantastic, especially given it would be on a free transfer given well-documented financial issues.

With loans and free-agent signings more likely between now and February 3, it makes perfect sense that someone like Kent could arrive in the coming days.

Kent helped Steven Gerrard to that incredible invincible season during their time together in Glasgow, and it will be interesting to see him work under Philippe Clement if he does sign.

Rabbi Matondo has not been good enough and Oscar Cortes has clear fitness issues, so another wide option would surely be welcomed with open arms.

This is one to watch in the coming days and weeks, with Rangers potentially pushing for the Scottish Premiership title again, although a lot of favours are still needed.
