Rangers seek legal counsel after new appointments at Ibrox
Rangers are looking for a Legal Counsel to follow the appointment of Greig Mailer at Ibrox.
The Gers have advertised for the position to succeed Graham Horman after his switch to club secretary.
Mailer will join the Light Blues in April as the new head of communications [The Rangers Review, 30 December], and the Bears continue their backroom restructure with the search for a legal appointment.
The job description states that the role will involve “legal-related work across the operations, commercial, and football departments.”
Rangers ready for more Ibrox appointments
Over the last few months, the Gers have seemingly lacked leadership in the hierarchy, so Patrick Stewart and Fraser Thronton’s arrivals are welcome additions.
The new chief executive officer and chairman will make a major decision in the coming days regarding Philippe Clement’s future at the Glaswegian outfit.
It’s encouraging to see the Light Blues starting to build a structure around the boardroom, and it remains to be seen who they will get to fill the void as Legal Counsel.
Nils Koppen has also recently been promoted to technical director.
Rangers will play Celtic in the Scottish Premiership on 2 January at Ibrox, and failure to win could end the Belgian manager’s tenure.

The head coach has failed to get a victory in the last six Old Firm derbies, and a similar result in the seventh should arguably be the end of him.
Clement has undone all of the positives of recent weeks after failing to win against St Mirren and Motherwell.
The Light Blues are 14 points behind Brendan Rodgers’ team in the league table and will play for pride and the Belgian’s future on Thursday.
In other Rangers news, Kris Boyd has urged the signing of a Manchester United star at Ibrox.
