Ridvan Yilmaz set for critical transfer talks after Rangers developments

Ridvan Yilmaz could be set for critical transfer talks to leave Rangers in the coming days, according to Omedyam.

The Turkish outlet reports that talks over a possible exit from Ibrox are set to take place ahead of January with what could be a “critical turning point” in his career.

Ibrox News has been told that Rangers have made it a priority to sell the defender in the upcoming January transfer window for a fee between £4.1million and £4.9m.

Ridvan Yilmaz set to leave Rangers

It doesn’t come as much of a surprise that the Gers are eager to offload Yilmaz in the transfer window as the defender has made just seven league appearances this term with Jefte being the preferred option at left-back.

Furthermore, there has been reported interest in the player with Trabzonspor one of the clubs on that list [Ersan Serdal]. With this in mind, it would make sense to offload the player with the interest there.

However, Nils Koppen could be aiming too high with his valuation of the player and there is a potential that this could be the difference between a deal happening or not so the Gers need to make sure they play their cards right if they are set on Yilmaz leaving.

Nonetheless, if the club can receive a healthy fee to get players off their books, it would give Philippe Clement an improved budget during the January transfer window which could be reinvested in the team as he looks to improve his side.

In other Rangers news, Philippe Clement will not be eager to watch back Todd Cantwell’s goal celebration for Blackburn Rovers.
