Rangers have made it a priority to sell Ridvan Yilmaz permanently in the January transfer window, Ibrox News understands.

Trabzonspor are the latest club said to be interested, with their manager Senol Gunes personally wanting the left back next month [Ersan Serdal].

Philippe Clement has used Yilmaz sparingly this season, with injury issues hitting the Turkish defender hard at Ibrox, making only seven appearances in the Scottish Premiership.

Rangers to sell Ridvan Yilmaz?

Ibrox News has been told by a source with knowledge of the situation that Rangers are looking to bank between £4.1million and £4.9m.

It's understood that a permanent exit is wanted, rather than an initial loan exit from Govan.

Jefte has been the preferred option at left-back, and although he hasn't set the world alight either, he has proven more than reliable with his fitness.

Dujon Sterling can also cover on the left, and if Neraysho Kasanwirjo also signs permanently after his horror injury, there is more than enough cover.

Nils Koppen has been given more transfer power at Ibrox now, with Fraser Thornton and Patrick Stewart sorting the rest, but he could need to work wonders to get that sort of fee.

All eyes are on Auchenhowie next month, with the revolving door potentially going non-stop with several exits and new arrivals if possible.
