Spurs travel to Glasgow to take on the Gers on Thursday [12 December] in the Europa League, and McCoist couldn’t believe what Crouch told him.

Police barriers will be in place for the fixture [RangersFC SLO, 12 December], and as the ex-Spurs ace stepped foot in Ibrox for the first time, the Light Blues legend was exasperated.

On TNT Sports’ X account [12 December], Crouch said: “I’m here at Ibrox for Rangers versus Tottenham. I’ve never been to Ibrox before in my life. What better man to show me around?

When the 48-year-old told McCoist he had never been to Ibrox before, he responded: “That’s unbelievable. Mate, I can’t believe that. Do you know something? I just love being here. I love being here. The place is brilliant.”

Rangers v Tottenham will surely give Peter Crouch a taste of Ibrox

The Europa League tie between the Gers and Tottenham will certainly be a mouth-watering game, with both teams likely looking to win rather than aiming for a draw.

Spurs come into the fixture battered and bruised, losing 4-3 to Chelsea in the Premier League on Sunday [8 December] despite taking a two-goal advantage.

Ange Postecoglou is under pressure at the North London club and could soon lose his job if things don’t go his way against the Glaswegian outfit.

Philippe Clement is another man whose future is up in the air ahead of two crucial matches, with Celtic and Rangers set to compete in the Scottish League Cup final on Sunday [15 December].

Patrick Stewart will start his duties as CEO on 16 December and could have a crucial decision to make regarding the Belgian manager’s suitability in the dugout.

The upcoming games are a real baptism of fire for the 50-year-old head coach, and losses in both matches will undoubtedly end his tenure at Ibrox.

The Light Blues are already down and out in the Scottish Premiership, 11 points behind their Old Firm rivals, and anything less than a win on Sunday will mean the end of Clement’s tenure.
