Neraysho Kasanwirjo ACL injury still possible at Rangers after footage
Rangers defender Neraysho Kasanwirjo suffering an ACL injury still remains a possibility, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
Having assessed the footage from the Netherlands v England Under-21s game on 18 November, the injury expert admits that it does not look too good for the 22-year-old.
While he’s admitted that there is the possibility of an ACL injury, he believes that there should be a definitive update from the club soon.
Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said: “From the footage, this looks like a pretty bad knee injury and reports have said that he was on the brink of tears so that’s not a good sign.
“Hard to tell what exactly happened from the angle that’s available but my main concern would be an ACL injury.
“The club will conduct scans soon and there should be some concrete update shortly.”
Rangers will be hoping it’s not a season-ender for Neraysho Kasanwirjo
If the Dutchman has indeed suffered an ACL rupture, he will be out for nine months and that would be the end of the season for him.
The club will be hoping that it’s not as serious and that he should be back within a few weeks.
Thus far, there is no official update from the club so it remains to be seen just how grave the situation is.
