Rangers defender Ridvan Yilmaz injury update emerges amid recent setback
Rangers defender Ridvan Yilmaz has returned to training after his muscle injury, according to Rangers Review.
The news outlet reported on 1 October that the Turkey international is continuing his journey back to full fitness after the blow he suffered back in August.
Ibrox News exclusively revealed on 30 September that the 23-year-old’s training return was on the cards this week.
Ridvan Yilmaz return is a huge boost for Rangers
Yilmaz had to be stretchered off in August during the Champions League qualifiers against Dynamo Kyiv and has not been available since that game.
This season, the left-back has played four games in all competitions for the Ibrox outfit and Philippe Clement will be hoping that he returns and maintains his fitness.
Last campaign too, Yilmaz showed plenty of promise but his injury setbacks saw him missing a number of first-team games.
Jefte has done a decent job in the 23-year-old’s stead but it will be good to have the first-choice left-back duo available.
This would give Clement the option of rotating them regularly given the European games in mid-week and it will not impact performances drastically either.

The club will perhaps gradually bring Yilmaz back to the first-team fold instead of handing him a start right away.
In other Rangers news, a takeover development may be on the cards for Gers amid a recent £50million problem.
