Kenny McLean fitness update emerges as Rangers want to seal transfer

Norwich City midfielder Kenny McLean’s fitness record will hold him in good stead ahead of a potential Rangers transfer, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that he’s been impeccable in terms of his availability and that negates the risks clubs consider when they sign players older than 30.

Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:

He’s got an impeccable fitness record and that holds him in good stead of a potential transfer.

I attribute it to consistency of habits – from strength and conditioning to nutrition to sleep to stress mitigation to recovery to training.

Those habits definitely reduce the age risks.

At 32, normally, there is a risk of signing a midfielder or an attacker, but this certainly negates it.

Kenny McLean would be a good signing for Rangers

The Ibrox outfit should sign McLean despite his age as he brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the team.

His familiarity with the Scottish game, coupled with his success in the English Championship, makes him an ideal candidate to bolster Philippe Clement’s midfield.

His age also means he can mentor younger players, passing on his knowledge and professionalism.
