Kenny McLean move not ruled out yet amid fresh Rangers transfer twist

Four Lads refuses to rule out a Rangers move for Norwich City midfielder Kenny McLean this summer despite recent reports.

Stevie Clifford reported on 4 July that while negotiations aren’t understood to be ongoing, reports of the club pulling a plug [Rangers Review] on the 32-year-old may not be entirely true.

Daily Record reported on 25 June that Gers have scouted the Scotland international at Euro 2024 and are eyeing a summer move for him.

Four Lads wrote on Twitter: “It’s all just rumours & I would hope Rangers aren’t negotiating as such so we just need to wait and see.

“I refuse to rule anything in or out with this one.”

Kenny McLean would be a decent addition for Rangers

McLean is a boyhood Gers fan and a return to Ibrox would indicate his strong motivation and commitment to the team.

The 32-year-old has valuable experience playing in the English Championship and the Premier League, which could bring a new level of professionalism and quality to their midfield.

Moreover, McLean’s playing style as a deep-lying playmaker could enhance Rangers’ midfield capabilities.

His ability to control the game from deep positions, combined with his aggressive style of play, could provide the club with a solid foundation in midfield, allowing the team to dominate games more effectively.

Additionally, McLean’s leadership qualities, as evidenced by his captaincy at Norwich, could be beneficial for Philippe Clement, especially considering the departure of experienced players like John Lundstram and Ryan Jack.

His arrival may even benefit the younger players so it remains to be seen how things transpire.
