£850k update emerges with Rangers in Yusuf Kabadayi transfer talks
Yusuf Kabadayi snubbed Rangers to join Bundesliga side FC Augsburg from Bayern Munich this summer, according to the Scottish Sun.
The newspaper reported via its online edition on 4 July that the German will cost £850,000 with Bayern announcing the deal on Twitter.
Despite holding talks with Gers, the 21-year-old will not be moving to Ibrox in this summer transfer window.
Yusuf Kabadayi unlikely to have been a regular at Rangers
Kabadayi’s decision to join Augsburg over Gers may be influenced by the prospect of more playing time in the Bundesliga.
The 21-year-old winger, who spent last season on loan at Schalke, showcased his potential but still has room for development.
Rangers, aiming to strengthen their first-team squad, might not have guaranteed Kabadayi the regular playing time he seeks.
The Scottish side likely focusing on securing players who can immediately contribute to their starting lineup.
Additionally, the £850,000 transfer fee could be a significant factor, as Gers may be allocating their resources towards more established players who can make an immediate impact.
It remains to be seen if they do get their marquee striker this summer as they need someone capable of leading the line.
