Rangers are unlikely to imminently announce the signing of AS Far striker Hamza Igamane despite seemingly agreeing on a deal to sign him.

A spokesperson for the Moroccan club confirmed, via a club's spokesperson, that Gers are set to secure his services for a £1.75million fee.

He will be putting pen to paper on a five-year contract, per Le Matin, but this deal does not seem likely to be announced soon as he was spotted in Brazil.

As Igamane is currently in Brazil and not yet in Scotland, it indicates that Gers may still need to finalise certain aspects of the transfer deal.

While reports suggest that a five-year contract has been agreed upon, there are likely some remaining details that need to be sorted out before Igamane can officially move to Ibrox.

These could include obtaining a visa for Igamane, finalising the transfer fee, or completing any necessary paperwork.

Philippe Clement and all those involved with the deal will be hoping that there are no last minute twists and he does end up joining sooner rather than later.
