A spokesperson for AS FAR has confirmed that their striker Hamza Igamane is set to seal a permanent transfer to Rangers.

Speaking to the Moroccan media, as quoted by the Daily Record on 23 June, that the Scottish club will be paying an initial £1.75million to secure the services of the 21-year-old.

While they have received offers for other players, Igamane is the only one they will allow to leave this summer.

The spokesperson said: "Hamza has signed a contract with Rangers for five seasons, which amounts to £1.75million plus extra clauses. The reason we have allowed him to make the transfer is we recognise the goal of this talented player was to go to Europe and we have allowed him the opportunity. It also helps the image of our club and Moroccan football.

"But Hamza will be the only player who will leave the club this summer. We have received offers and interest from other European clubs about several of our players. However, we feel it is important to keep the spine of the team to give us the best possible chance of winning titles this season."

Rangers appear set to announce the Hamza Igamane transfer

Gers are getting a great deal for Igamane as the £1.75million transfer fee is relatively low for a player of his potential, especially considering he is only 21 years old.

This gives Rangers the opportunity to develop him further and potentially sell him on for a significant profit in the future.

The striker is on the verge of becoming a full Morocco international which will not only enhance his reputation and market value but also increase the club's global visibility, especially if he performs well for both club and country.

His versatility as a striker who can also play as a winger adds to his value and this flexibility means he can fit into different tactical systems and cover multiple positions, making him a valuable asset for Philippe Clement.
