Rangers are expected to announce the permanent signing of AS FAR striker Hamza Igamane soon after he agrees terms with the club, according to Football Scotland.

The news outlet reported on 21 June that he is expected to sign the dotted line before Philippe Clement's side return to pre-season training on Monday, 24 June.

Gers will pay £1.5million to the Moroccan side for the 21-year-old who's expected to become a full Morocco international this year.

Rangers need a top-drawer striker despite Hamza Igamane's imminent arrival

While the 21-year-old is a promising up and comer, he will take some time to adapt to life in Glasgow and that could be an indicator that Gers need to sign a first-team ready forward.

Gers might be on the cusp of signing Igamane, but they still need to secure a proven goal scorer in his prime.

The Hearts striker has been in sensational form, scoring 31 goals in all competitions this past season.

He's a natural finisher with a knack for finding the back of the net.

Shankland's experience in the Scottish Premiership would be invaluable for Gers.

He's a proven performer at the highest level and would add a much-needed goal threat to the team.

With Shankland leading the line, the 55-time champions would have a genuine chance of winning the title next season.
