Rangers v Celtic injury issues as Doctor issues Ryan Jack update
Rangers midfielder Ryan Jack is unlikely to start in the Scottish Cup final against Celtic on 25 May, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that despite him making the bench as recently as the 3-3 draw against Hearts on 18 May, he is far from being 100 per cent in terms of his fitness.
He last played for the first team in March and despite a B Team appearance recently, he remains considerably short on being match fit.
Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:
“It certainly sounds like he’s improving and if everything went to plan with the B team then there’s a possibility he could play for the senior team in the final game of the season, although starting a game this season may be a bridge too far for him.
“However, he has returned to the bench so that’s a sign he’s close to 100 per cent but he has not featured since the start of March.
“It also remains to be seen whether or not the club are impressed by his fitness levels as a decision will need to be made on his contract if it hasn’t already.“
Rangers must not hand Ryan Jack a new contract
Last summer, despite the Scotland international’s injury issues, Gers decided to give him a one-year deal due to his goodwill to the club.
However, that did not pan out too well as the 32-year-old has faced several injury issues this season and has been restricted to just five league starts.

Playing just shy of 450 league minutes of football does not really justify a new deal and if Philippe Clement is serious about challenging for the title, he’s got to have players he can rely on for the entire season.
In other Rangers news, a star player may now never be seen at Ibrox after a ground-breaking update has emerged about him recently.
