Rangers attacker Abdallah Sima will not just miss the Celtic clash, but may not play again at Ibrox as news emerged this week surrounding his injury.

Injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar exclusively told Ibrox News, that there is a possibility the 22-year-old will require surgery on his hamstring.

Sima appeared to have recovered from his injury woes, but this recent setback may see a premature end to his season with him returning to Brighton in June.

Dr Brar said: “Unsure if it’s a reinjury but if it’s just tightness on his hamstring, then he could potentially return before the season.

“If this is a multiple-time issue that doesn’t seem to be responding well to rehab and treatment, then surgery could be considered which would see him missing all the remaining games or he could even have it in the summer.

“The club seem hopeful of his return and it remains to be seen how serious it is, but at this stage, surgery cannot be ruled out.“

Will Abdallah Sima play again for Rangers?

Sima's injury situation has put his future at Ibrox in doubt.

As a loanee from Brighton, his loan spell is set to end with the conclusion of the season, which is at the end of May.

Given his injury concerns, there is a possibility that Sima may not feature again for Rangers this season, especially if he requires surgery.

The uncertainty surrounding his fitness could affect his prospects of staying at Ibrox beyond the loan period.

If Sima is unable to play again this season, it might influence Rangers' decision on whether to pursue a permanent deal or Brighton's willingness to sell him.

Injuries can be a significant factor in transfer decisions, as clubs may hesitate to invest in a player who is facing fitness issues.

Rangers
Abdallah Sima has been in fine form this term for Rangers.

Moreover, Brighton could reassess their stance on Sima's future at the club, depending on his recovery and the potential impact on his performance.
