Doctor issues update on Rangers winger Oscar Cortes post serious injury

Rangers winger Oscar Cortes will be facing an intense injury rehab over the next few weeks according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that it’s hard to pinpoint what the exact setback is as the posterior can refer to a number of areas.

Philippe Clement recently said that it was a serious setback and that it was a “strange” situation the Colombian found himself in.

Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:

This is an injury that’s really difficult to comment on because the language is so vague.

Posterior can refer to so many different areas and the surgery could involve many different things depending on the specifics.

It does look like a serious setback, however, with an intense rehab on the cards in the next few weeks.

Oscar Cortes faces uncertain Rangers future

Just as the 20-year-old appeared to be adapting to life in Scotland, he suffered an injury which ruled him out for the season.

He would’ve arguably been a regular starter on the left wing had he been fit and in his absence, with Abdallah Sima and Rabbi Matondo being injured as well, Fabio Silva has been deployed there regularly.

Whether or not Cortes is signed permanently next season or Lens can loan him out once again, remains to be seen.

In other Rangers news, a star player may now never be seen at Ibrox after a ground-breaking update has emerged about him recently.
