Rangers v Celtic: Keith Jackson predicts more ‘Madness’ at Hampden Park
Keith Jackson has predicted “madness” at Hampden Park when Rangers face Celtic in the Scottish Cup final on 25 May.
A brace from Cyriel Dessers saw the Gers comfortably bypass Hearts on Sunday 21 April, setting up a clash with their Old Firm rivals in the final of the competition.
Celtic’s battle to the final was far more of a thriller, having been taken to penalties by Aberdeen on Saturday 20 April, as Killian Phillips missed the sixth and final crucial spot-kick for the Dons.
Writing for the Daily Record on Monday (22 April), Jackson said: “The Belgian will have the chance to bring down the curtain on his first campaign with another shot at Celtic and perhaps an opportunity to buy himself some breathing space for the summer, should it transpire the damage has already been done to his hopes of landing the league title.
“Don’t worry. If madness is your thing there will be plenty more to come back here on May 25 when the Old Firm collide again for the last silverware of the season.”
Can Rangers beat Celtic at Hampden Park in the Scottish Cup final?
If Philippe Clement’s side are to lift the Scottish Cup trophy in May and add it to their League Cup trophy, they must do something they have not achieved this season – beat Celtic.
The Old Firm rivals have met on three occasions this campaign, losing twice and drawing once, recently making a dramatic comeback at Ibrox to grab a crucial point and draw 3-3.

Rangers were also unlucky not to advance in European competition, losing narrowly to Benfica in the Europa League round of 16, a feat that Celtic are certainly not able to boast.
With two more Old Firms to come this season, winning both would certainly make this season hopefully one to remember, with the treble potentially on the cards after that too.
The Belgian has provided a newly-found sense of hope at Ibrox since arriving at the club in October, and although this is just the beginning of his tenure, fans will be hoping he can finish the season with a bang.
