Chris Sutton has slammed the Rangers squad for their performance in the 3-2 defeat against Ross County on Sunday (14 April).

Speaking at half-time on Sky Sports Main Event (12:51pm), the pundit said the Gers were "lethargic" in the first half despite being 1-0 ahead through a Jack Baldwin own goal.

He suggested that Philippe Clement may have been tempted to make changes during the interval after his players were "miles off it", but that didn't prove to the case as they eventually lost the game 3-2 in Dingwall.

“Do you know what, as Rangers have a title to win, I think they’ve been really lethargic,” said Sutton. “I think Philippe Clement may make changes at half-time actually because they have been miles off it really and Ross County have had their opportunities.”

Should Philippe Clement have made Rangers changes?

It perhaps was a mistake for Clement to not make changes at half-time as it was a pretty disappointing first half from Rangers despite them going in with the lead.

The Gers manager was clearly unhappy with their performance as they were back out on the pitch early, suggesting he had some choice words with them at the break.

But it didn't do any good as Simon Murray levelled things up just two minutes into the second half before George Harmon and Josh Sims put County 3-1 ahead.

It's an embarrassing defeat for the Light Blues in their pursuit of the title and, given that Celtic are now four points ahead of them, it means their Old Firm rivals now hold the advantage.

Clement is going to expect a big reaction from his side when they head to Dundee for their rearranged fixture on 17 April.
