Rangers: ‘Absolutely Awful’ James Tavernier verdict shared after what happened v Ross County
Four Lads Had A Dream has blasted James Tavernier for his performance in the Rangers defeat against Ross County on Sunday (14 April).
Responding to a post on Twitter on Monday (15 April) suggesting people have “short memories” for questioning the 32-year-old, the Gers news source said the captain was “absolutely awful” in the 3-2 loss against the Staggies.
It added that it’s the “same old” from the English right-back and some of his teammates, noting that people are “sick of it” as the loss in Dingwall dealt a major blow to the Light Blues’ title hopes this season.
James Tavernier splits opinion amongst Rangers fans
It comes with the territory for Tavernier to receive more stick from the Rangers fans when the results aren’t going well because he is the captain.
There has, however, been some frustration shared around his performances on a personal level after questions have continued to be asked about his defensive work.
While the right-back has kept up his incredible scoring record in recent weeks, he has made some mistakes in his own half and played a part in goals the Gers have conceded.

There is no way Philippe Clement is going to drop him from the starting lineup due to his contribution in the final third, but he perhaps does need to do better defensively.
These debates are likely to go on until the Light Blues get their results heading in the right direction again as they look to get back to winning ways in the rearranged fixture against Dundee on Wednesday (17 April).
