Rangers: Philippe Clement reveals when venue will be announced for rearranged Dundee game
Philippe Clement has confirmed Rangers will be informed by midday next Tuesday (16 April) where the rearranged Dundee game will be held.
After a second postponement of the fixture at Dens Park on Wednesday (10 April), the fixture has been pushed back by another week.
The game will have to be played due to the Scottish Premiership split, and the Gers will know the venue one way or another a day before.
“It was a crazy situation because it was not a surprise and could have been avoided,” Clement told Sky Sports News [11 April, 1:40pm].
“The things I know from the moment is that we will hear on Tuesday, at 12 O’clock the latest, where we will play on Wednesday.
“But for sure, there needs to be certainty to play on the Wednesday. We have an important cup game, so to play later than Wednesday would be crazy.”
Where will Dundee v Rangers be played?
There have been many suggestions as to where the game could be held if Dens Park remains unfit to host the contest.
The priority, of course, will be for it to be held at Dundee’s home. However, if no guarantees can be given a day before, the SPFL will step in.
That is the correct call as this farcical situation cannot go on any longer. Regardless of where the game is held, Rangers must know in advance.

Having already twice made the trip to Dundee, a third trip would simply be unacceptable. Thankfully, that will not be the case after this update from Clement.
As the Belgian says, it is a huge shame the game was called off as there is a real buzz around Scottish Football at the moment thanks to the tight title race.
So whether it is at Tannadice, Ibrox or anywhere else for that matter, let’s make sure the game is locked in and played next week.
In other Rangers news, opponents Dundee could be hit with a five-figure fine as a result of the second postponement.
