Rangers v Celtic: WWE star Drew McIntyre makes Old Firm prediction after what fans did

WWE superstar Drew McIntyre has predicted a win for Rangers over Celtic in the Old Firm derby on 7 April at Ibrox.

While Gers are a point behind on the table, they’ve got a game in hand and winning this match will give them the lead and also have the possibility of extending their lead by three more points.

McIntyre, who is a fan of the Ibrox club has shared that Celtic fans are feeling the pressure and they’re already making excuses.

He told U105 radio, via Glasgow World on 1 April: “At the moment we’ve got the momentum and in the Old Firm game, we’re going to smash them.

“I’m hearing all the excuses, mostly from family members who are Celtic fans, about what’s going on right now, but we’ve been on fire recently. Recently we’ve found a keeper in Butland who can replace McGregor – that’s been a struggle for a long time.

“It’s unfortunate we’re out of the Europa, but that was never a penalty in the first leg against Benfica, so I’m going to hang my hat on that! But league wise, it belongs to us. This is Rangers’ season. As I say, we’re on fire, we’ve got the momentum. We’ve got the game in hand.

“We’re going to get to the top of the league, then we’re going to smash Celtic and I’m going to win the world title. It’s meant to be. I’d prefer just to win it. No worries, no drama. Just get it won and get them smashed, then cruise for the rest of it.

“We don’t need the dramatic moments, we’ve had too many of those of the last ten years as Rangers fans, our hearts can’t take much more. Let’s just get it done as quickly as possible.”

Rangers are favourites against Celtic in the Old Firm derby at Ibrox

With only a point separating the two teams in the league standings, a win for Gers would not only extend their lead but also provide a psychological advantage over their arch-rivals.

Additionally, with a game in hand against Dundee following this fixture, they have a significant opportunity to solidify their position at the top of the table.

Moreover, the comments from McIntyre reflect the high stakes involved in this clash.

His confidence in Rangers’ ability to triumph underscores the expectation within the camp and among their fans.

Conversely, the Hoops find themselves under increasing scrutiny and pressure, facing mounting expectations from their supporters amid a tight title race.

A defeat in this crucial fixture could dent Celtic’s title aspirations and further intensify the pressure on Philippe Clement’s side.
