Rangers news: Hibs now face SFA disciplinary action after social media post
Hibs face disciplinary action after their post on Twitter about the penalty in their 3-1 defeat against Rangers, per Glasgow Times.
The media outlet reported on 29 March that Nectarios Triantis’ foul on John Souttar, which was missed by the on-field referee, was then checked and overturned on VAR and Hibs’ Twitter account took a dig at that.
“Penalty to Rangers. Who had 20 minutes?” they wrote on their official handle.
Hibs in evident rule violation v Rangers
The comment could be interpreted as undermining the integrity of the officiating, potentially leading to disciplinary action from the SFA.
Moreover, there seemed to be little benefit for Hibs in making such a statement, as it risked bringing negative attention to the club without a clear strategic advantage.
It appears that the violation was unnecessary and could result in consequences for the club.
Despite the contentious VAR decisions surrounding the opening goal, Rangers showed resilience and determination to bounce back and maintain their lead.
James Tavernier’s historic goal, making him the highest-scoring defender in British history, added to the significance of the victory.
Additionally, Clement’s side demonstrated their depth and attacking prowess with goals from Cyriel Dessers and Rabbi Matondo.

This win not only propelled Gers back to the top of the Scottish Premiership but also provided them with momentum and confidence ahead of the upcoming Old Firm clash against Celtic.
