Rangers: Doctor shares Danilo injury update as rehab images emerge
Rangers striker Danilo could be a few weeks away from returning from his medial ligament injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert has reacted to the footage and images that have periodically appeared on social media with regard to his rehabilitation.
The Brazilian striker has been ruled out since December and aims to be back before the end of May.
Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:
“Given his constant social media updates, he’s certainly making progress and is starting to fully bear weight.
“Difficult to give a definitive return date as it really depends on how he responds to each step and there are so many factors behind the scenes which will be assessed.
“This might suggest he’s a few weeks away and he could be back in the initial stages of training imminently if things go as per plan.”
Danilo keeps Rangers fans aware of his injury rehab
Danilo cannot be waiting to return to action as he’s faced two serious injury blows since moving to Ibrox in the summer.
He has been keeping fans informed every step of the way as to where he is in terms of recovery and the next big update from the club could be about his training return.
In his absence, Cyriel Dessers has done a decent job leading the line for Philippe Clement’s side and it remains to be seen if Danilo can be a regular starter before the end of the season.
In other Rangers news, an update has emerged on personal terms as an important first-team player’s Ibrox exit is on the cards this summer.
