Rangers: Graeme Souness wowed by Philippe Clement live on talkSPORT after what he heard
Graeme Souness was wowed by Philippe Clement after what he heard during an event alongside the Rangers boss in Glasgow recently.
Jim White hosted the event and was joined by Jack Butland, Clement and Souness, and the Rangers legend has explained that simply listening to the boss speak impressed him.
Souness had previously spoken about his questions during the interviewing process, but any perceived issues were quickly cast aside and he has since been full of praise for the boss.
Speaking live on talkSPORT [10:05], Souness shared: “It was a great night, good fun. It was exactly what I wanted, the new manager did all the speaking, I listened, and he was very impressive, Philippe Clement, very impressive.”

Souness’ praise of the boss, and admission that he was impressed by just listening to him speak, is a glowing review and a display of just how well he has done since his arrival, winning over fans and pundits alike.
Clement has been widely praised for the job he has done since arriving at Ibrox, turning the club from one that looked hopeless into the league leaders who are also looking to remain competitive in their Europa League campaign.
Now, the boss faces an injury crisis at Ibrox following blows to Dujon Sterling and Ross McCausland against Hibernian, and will have to contend with a weakened squad when Rangers face Benfica at Ibrox this week.

If he can guide Rangers to victory in the SPFL, albeit with a long way to go yet, he will cement himself in the history of the club, and fans will continue to look forward to what else is to come under Clement’s guidance.
In other Rangers news, Four Lads have suggested the club is cursed after recent injury issues.
