Rangers eye bright future as first-of-its-kind partnership news emerges, three-year deal signed

Rangers are definitely thinking about the here and now, with Philippe Clement having everyone excited about the thought of silverware this season.

The Ibrox outfit have already clinched the League Cup under the guidance of the Belgian, with plenty more trophies still up for grabs.

A tense Scottish Premiership title race is on the go with fierce rivals Celtic, while there is also Europa League and Scottish Cup glory at stake.

The Glasgow giants do, however, still have one eye on the future, with that stance confirmed with the latest news emerging regarding an exciting youth partnership.

As per the official Rangers website (7 March), the Rangers International Soccer Academy has signed a three-year partnership with Riverside Football Club in South Africa.

The deal marks a first in the region for the academy, and will see Rangers Soccer Academy staff and coaches work closely with the club to assist with player development and coach education.

The future certainly looks bright in various areas at Ibrox, with the club’s under-18s recently securing a spot in the Scottish Youth Cup final.

It will all delight Clement and his long-term plans in Glasgow, even if the manager is very much focused on the first team and their busy period.

However, regardless of what happens over the coming months, the Belgian deserves huge praise for completely turning the situation around at Ibrox.
