Rangers: Butland-esque transfer on cards for Callum O’Hare in Ibrox news
Rangers could seal a Jack Butland-esque free transfer to sign Coventry City star Callum O’Hare in the upcoming summer, according to Dan Plumley.
The Bears are monitoring the playmaker, who is out of contract in the summer and available to speak to clubs away from England now.
The football finance expert admitted that the “huge” draw of potential Champions League football could help, with Butland the perfect example of a player thriving at Ibrox.
“It is a draw isn’t it for a lot of players,” he exclusively told Ibrox News.
“Again, the player at Coventry looks like a very good prospect and I’m sure there will be offers from Premier League clubs, but it depends on the individual and what’s right for them.
“You look at some of the examples there and players that have gone to Scotland and you are playing for a huge football club that has huge global exposure, potential for Champions League football as well, if Rangers get there and can put that in front of the player, he’s not going to move to an English club in the Champions League so where is the opportunity proposition there?
“It can be a really attractive proposition and I think it depends on the player and the fees and the clubs, but you can see for somebody like that in that situation, the potential to move to Scotland and play for Rangers could be a really astute move for him as well.
“There is evidence it works with Butland and others as examples.”

Callum O’Hare to seal Rangers transfer?
Rangers have already made moves ahead of the summer, with Nils Koppen and Philippe Clement planning ahead with an agreement to sign left-back Jefte.
O’Hare could join up with the squad at Ibrox too for little to no cost, something that could be a mastermind move from those in charge in Govan.
This is one to watch.
