Rangers: Sky Sports pundit adamant over what will happen v Kilmarnock at Rugby Park

Kenny Miller has “no doubt” that Rangers will pick up all three points when they face Kilmarnock on Wednesday evening (28 February).

The Gers make the trip to Rugby Park aiming to maintain – or indeed extend – their two-point lead on Celtic at the Scottish Premiership summit.

The surface of the pitch presents added difficulties, but Miller believes Rangers will have enough quality in their ranks to get the job done.

“When you get to this stage of the season, 11 games to go with a two-point gap, every single game and point is important,” he told Clyde 1 Superscoreboard [27 February].

“They’re going to a team flying on their home patch, and the pitch has to be mentioned because it gives them an advantage against whoever they play.

“It’s not just about the Rangers personnel but where they are as a club and high on confidence.

“Kilmarnock have the right for us to look at this as a banana skin, but I have no doubt Rangers will go there and win tomorrow.”

Rangers face tough Kilmarnock test at Rugby Park

Kilmarnock are on a three-game winning run on home soil and are eight games without defeat there since a 1-0 loss to Hearts on 2 December.

That run includes a victory over Celtic, while they also defeated Rangers when the sides met there earlier in the campaign.

Rangers are a different beast now compared to then, with Philippe Clement losing just one out of 27 matches he has overseen.

Normally, a draw in a fixture such as this away at the division’s fourth-best side would be considered okay amid a run of victories.

However, given the gap on Celtic only stands at two points, the Gers know they cannot afford any sort of slip-ups.

And as a reminder, many expected the home clash with a Hearts side on a long unbeaten run to be difficult last weekend.

Cross off this latest test unscathed and Rangers really will be on their way to another title success.
