Four Lads Had a Dream want to see Dujon Sterling start for Rangers v Hearts

Four Lads Had A Dream have called for Dujon Sterling to get a start for Rangers when they face Hearts at Ibrox on Saturday.

Sterling joined the Bears on a free transfer in the summer and initially struggled to make an impact under Michael Beale, but has shone since Philippe Clement has come into the club.

Able to play in either full-back position and most recently in midfield, the 24-year-old has been in excellent form and the ex-club partner has called for him to be rewarded with a place in the starting lineup.

“Attitude is spot on,” they wrote.

“Thought his cameo was great last week, won the penalty and should be in definite contention for starting tomorrow.”

Rangers players deserve starts on merit

The current side is hard to pick, because the team have been in absolutely tremendous form in recent months and have helped themselves move up to the top of the table.

But that is in part because whenever Clement changes the team around and brings fresh legs into the side, they all know exactly what they’re doing and know the standard they have to meet.

Sterling is arguably the greatest example of this, stepping into several positions and performing fantastically well and now he deserves a chance to make the position his own.

Todd Cantwell is out injured for a number of weeks while the competition at left-back between Ridvan Yilmaz and Borna Barisic is rife also.

Sterling deserves a start in a tough game, but seeing who will drop out won’t be an easy decision to make. That’s why Clement is paid the big bucks though.
