‘Ridiculous’ Jack Butland exit update emerges at Rangers

Premier League clubs are keeping track of Rangers goalkeeper Jack Butland as the January transfer window opens, according to The Scotsman.

The England international has been sensational since arriving at Ibrox on a free transfer from Manchester United, starting every single week.

It is said that only a “ridiculous” offer would potentially tempt Rangers into selling one of their star possessions, with it being unlikely at this moment.

Philippe Clement is said to be assessing his squad with Ben Davies named as one other option who could leave the club with chances limited.

With injuries ravaging the squad at this moment though, there is also potential that first-team options may be kept hold of with options few and far between.

Silly.

The window is only a few hours and we have already entered silly season it seems.

In no world would Rangers or Clement ever green-light an exit for Butland, he has simply become indispensable to the club within months of being here through his performances.

Watching Manchester United fans pull out their hair weekly watching Andre Onana is hilarious, especially when someone they allowed to leave for nothing is this good.

No matter the money on offer if it was to come, Rangers would not sell, that is something that is 99.99 per cent true.

Rangers need to finish off the first part of the season before the winter break with a win against Kilmarnock and then look forward to winning those games-in-hand and putting pressure back on Celtic immediately.

Butland will be at the heart of that with signings coming in the main priority right now, not those who could potentially leave Govan for Pasture’s new.

This is one to keep a very faint eye on, Butland is surely going nowhere – ridiculous offer or not.

In other Rangers news, a severe update has emerged over a permanent move for Abdallah Sima at Ibrox
