Rangers legal twist as Expert reveals nature of the best as news emerges
We’re delighted to welcome football finance expert Dr Daniel Plumley as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Rangers...
Dan Plumley has insisted that failing to reach out-of-court settlements is a “pitfall” of legal battles as Rangers and Elite Sports look set to continue their dispute.
The Scottish Sun reported on 15 November that the long-standing court battle between the two parties could run on until next summer, as reports submitted to the court need to be adjusted already.
The finance expert admitted it was the “nature of the beast” with this long-standing battle set to be costly but something that the club has to engage with.

“It’s probably one of the pitfalls of legal battles,” he exclusively told Ibrox News.
“It depends on both parties because an out-of-court settlement agreement needs both parties to agree to that.
“So, if you have one party that wants to pursue the case, you’ve got to keep it going, sometimes it takes time, and sometimes it can be costly, but you’ve got to engage with that.

“That is really the nature of the beast in modern football legal battles that can be costly, but sometimes you have to fight them.”
Rangers are said to be being sued for £9.5million by the kit suppliers, with eight days needed for any upcoming hearings once everything is resolved behind the scenes.
In other Rangers news, Plumley has insisted that the club can argue they have missed out after a £900m+ deal was signed off
