Rangers transfer news as Ben Davies exit may hinge on one condition

Ben Davies may be another one out of the exit door at Rangers this summer with his exit perhaps hinging on one condition, according to Football Scotland.

The Scottish media outlet reported on its website on Monday (28 August) that the former Liverpool centre-back could leave if the right offer comes in for him.

The 28-year-old is yet to make an appearance in the league this season and Michael Beale has opted for other players over him.

Makes sense

Davies has not really had the impact that the hierarchy thought he would and the fact that he’s a left footer has seen him get an extended run in the first team.

Rangers are believed to be looking at another centre-back who is a left footer and clearly will be an upgrade on Davies and the current crop of players at the club.

Davies can fetch a decent fee as he’s at the age that is considered to be the prime for a centre-back in football.

His performances may not have inflated his valuation but he can still go for a multi-million fee which could be crucial in them signing a better replacement.

Beale certainly will be pushing his side to sign a centre-back quickly as a lot of teams will jump onto the deadline day panic and end up overpaying for players.

Rangers do not have that kind of money so they’ve got to be shrewd in their pursuits and get this deal done sooner rather than later.

In other Rangers news, a manager at an English club has broken his silence as Gers now explore move to sign international defender.
