Rangers transfer news as £4m Ianis Hagi development emerges

Rangers may see another player leaving this summer as a £4million fee has been mooted for Ianis Hagi to join Maccabi Tel Aviv, according to One.

The Israeli media outlet reported on its website on Friday (25 August) that the Romania international is a target for the Tel Aviv outfit.

Michael Beale recently claimed that the 24-year-old could be leaving Elland Road this summer.

Cash in

Post his injury, Hagi has not been the same player and Beale is admitting that without saying so in as many words.

He’s unlikely to be a first-team regular this season or in the coming years unless he miraculously ups his game.

The smarter thing for Rangers to do will be to cash in this summer as there seems to be a clear interest in his services.

Maybe the game in Israel will suit him and he can work his way back to match sharpness there and he perhaps won’t get that luxury in Glasgow.

£4million is a decent transfer fee for someone who’s not expected to get too much game time at Rangers this season.

Hopefully, that money is then used to buy another defender as that’s desperately needed before the window closes.
