Michael Beale ‘dilemma’ mooted in Rangers v Servette Champions League clash
Rangers manager Michael Beale has a midfield dilemma for the Champions League clash against Servette, according to journalist Mark McDougall.
The Scottish side take on the Swiss-based outfit in their third round qualifying second leg match on Tuesday (15 August).
Beale’s side won the first leg 2-1 at Ibrox last Wednesday (9 August), with James Tavernier and Cyriel Dessers on the scoresheet.

“There’s a midfield dilemma with Jose Cifuentes, Nico Raskin and Todd Cantwell all impressing, but does Ryan Jack make a return?” McDougall wrote for Football Scotland.
“It’s the kind of calls that will decide how Beale’s Rangers career goes and he’ll need to make them soon.”

Big decisions
Gers boss Beale has made plenty of massive decisions in his time in the Ibrox dugout so far, including letting go of many well-established players.
The likes of Alfredo Morelos, Allan McGregor and Ryan Kent were all allowed to leave at the expiry of their contracts earlier this summer.
But Beale has done his utmost to not only replace them, but add further strength in depth, with nine new faces arriving at Ibrox in the current transfer window.
The Scottish side may not be done on this front, but perhaps Beale must sanction further exits in order to free up space and funds.
He must, however, now focus on the huge clash against Servette, where the manager has plenty of huge calls to make as he tries to come away victorious.
It’s been a mixed start to the new season with the loss against Kilmarnock and the victories against Servette and Livingston.
