Fabrizio Romano update means Rangers must work overtime to land Jonathan Panzo
Clubs from England and Germany are also keen on Rangers’ transfer target Jonathan Panzo, according to The Guardian’s Fabrizio Romano.
According to the Fourth Official (Patreon), Michael Beale is holding regular personal talks with the 22-year-old defender as he looks to bolster his backline.
Romano has since claimed (GIVEMESPORT, 24 June) that the interest in the Nottingham Forest defender is concrete, but clubs from England and Germany are also interested.

“There are also clubs from England and Germany keen on Panzo, so this is not something completed yet, but he’s one of the targets they have at the club and so I think this is going to be concrete,” he said.
This is one Beale will have to work fast to complete. It appeared the Gers were quite close to striking a deal for the Forest ace, but, if other clubs begin to show interest, their move could fall apart.

On the whole, Rangers fans will be largely delighted with the summer business to date. Four players have come through the door to date. At present, another defender and striker will probably be at the forefront of the boss’ mind.
Alfredo Morelos’ exit has left a big void that needs filling. The Colombian endured a tough last season at Ibrox, but his goalscoring ability cannot be doubted.
Sam Lammers has arrived to provide competition for Antonio Colak, but it will be a big ask for the former Atalanta man to match Morelos’ goalscoring return. Beale must land another striker before the window closes.
In other Rangers news, Plumley has insisted that the club can argue they have missed out after a £900m+ deal was signed off elsewhere
