Rangers quick transfer work on cards as yet more players set to come through door

Former Bleacher Report journalist Dean Jones expects Rangers to announce further signings quickly.

Michael Beale has enjoyed a fast start to the window and has already added Jack Butland, Kieran Dowell, Dujon Sterling and Sam Lammers to his ranks.

Talking to GIVEMESPORT, Jones feels that yet more signings could well be in the offing at Ibrox.

Rangers

“Yeah, I mean the planning into this transfer window has been done over the past few months. We’ve seen news around Butland and Lammers all come through pretty fast,” he said (20 June).

“I’m told we should expect more news pretty quickly on other players that will be coming through the door. I don’t think they intend to wait around in the summer Rangers. They want to give Beale exactly what he wants and needs to get going quickly in the new season.”

Exciting

It’s certainly an exciting time to the a Gers fan at present.

In fact, Scottish football seems to be in for an exciting 2022/23 season.

Brendan Rodgers’ return to Celtic has cerainly pricked the ears of those in Govan. Celtic will now continue to be the force they have been in recent years after the departure of Ange Postecoglou.

The transfer activity at Ibrox had many tipping Beale’s men to be the dominant force once again – but with Rodgers back at Parkhead, the playing field has been levelled once more.

With four players through the door, it’s now about ensuring the ambition continues. A striker, a couple of wingers, a midfielder and defensive reinforcements are still required.

Nevertheless, the board have put themselves in an excellent position when it comes to completing a significant overhaul at Ibrox.

Four to five more players would mark an extremely astute summer window.

In other Rangers news, Plumley has insisted that the club can argue they have missed out after a £900m+ deal was signed off elsewhere
