Malik Tillman has transfer suitors in other leagues as Rangers move hits red tape – Sport 1
Rangers face new added competition in the race to sign Malik Tillman from Bayern Munich as clubs from other leagues have registered interest.
Tillman spent the 2022/23 season on loan at Ibrox and won the club’s Young Player of the Year award after an excellent campaign, which left Michael Beale admitting the club want to trigger their £5m option to make the deal permanent.
But with Tillman back in Germany while he decides on his future, reliable journalist Kerry Hau told the Die Bayern-Woche podcast that a decision is yet to be made as several other clubs have entered the race for the American youngster.

“No decision has yet been made regarding the future of Malik Tillman and Gabriel Vidović,” he said, as translated by Roro89F on Twitter.
“Tillman has generated a lot of interest thanks to his great season with Rangers, including in leagues other than Scotland.”
Expected
It’s not really a surprise that other clubs are interested in signing Tillman considering how well he performed while at Rangers.
He came to Ibrox as a player who nobody has really heard of before but his development has been nothing short of fantastic, playing across the forward line in several positions and coming up with goals and assists regularly.

At just 20-years-old there is plenty of room for even further development from Tillman, and considering the fee that Bayern agreed to with Rangers it’s unlikely he’d be an expensive signing for any other club.
That means Rangers need to convince him to join once again ahead of other clubs, with Beale hoping that he can bring a key player back into the fold for the new season.
If not though it could really cause a reshuffle in the club’s plans for the transfer window, but it could well free up funds for Beale to use elsewhere and bring in someone else. Every cloud and all that.
