Chris Jack shares Rangers transfer news as Jose Cifuentes expected to jet in for medical
Jose Cifuentes is expected to jet into Glasgow to complete a medical soon before joining Rangers after Jack Butland, as reported by Chris Jack for the Herald.
The powerful midfielder played as a substitute for Los Angeles FC in their CONCACAF Champions League final second-leg defeat to Club Leon of Mexico, in what appears to have been his last game for the MLS side.
Rangers have already secured Kieran Dowell and Dujon Sterling for next season, with Michael Beale set to secure further additions to his squad, imminently.

The report from Jack detailed the latest on Cifuentes, with Butland said to be in Glasgow on Tuesday to conclude his transfer to Ibrox.
“The arrival of the former Birmingham and Stoke shot-stopper is the latest boost for Beale as he also closes in on a move for midfielder Jose Cifuentes,” he said.
“The Ecuadorian is poised to quit Major League Soccer outfit Los Angeles FC and is expected to jet in for a medical sooner rather than later to add further strength to the Ibrox midfield.”

Incoming
Two is very likely, to become four with the arrivals of Butland and Cifuentes.
The arrivals of an intended first-choice goalkeeper, an England international, as well as another international with World Cup experience will add to the levels of Beale’s squad.
If Rangers are to go through the gears to properly challenge Celtic next season, more quality is a necessity to make it happen.
Further additions will follow, as well as sales at the club, with the focus soon to turn to add firepower on the pitch.
That will be the most exciting aspect with the manager seemingly willing to spend the majority of his budget on fees for a new attack.
The summer rebuild is well and truly underway at Ibrox as shown by these incoming transfers.
It is the buying and selling over these coming weeks that will define Beale’s time at the club, with this transfer window carrying huge significance.
In other Rangers news, the club has been told to pay £7million as they bid to secure a brand new striker in a multi-million transfer deal.
