Rangers transfer news as striker deals could be announced quickly at Ibrox

Rangers are striving to conclude more transfer business in the coming days and could yet announce two new striker signings through the Ibrox doors.

The Gers have already been busy in what will arguably be their biggest summer window in years, completing deals for both Kieran Dowell and Dujon Sterling and are set to complete a move for Jack Butland too.

However, after the release of Alfredo Morelos at Ibrox, options in the forward position are severely depleted with Antonio Colak also facing an uncertain future at Rangers.

And according to The 4th Official, the Gers are in the hunt for two strikers this summer to plug that gaping hole in the squad and Beale may well announce more additions at Ibrox in the coming days, giving clubs fans plenty of encouragement as the summer window kicks off.

“As for strikers, most of the rumours out there have no basis in reality,” The 4th Official Report read.

“The club do want to get in at least two strikers, and so far they have made sure that none of their primary targets are known to the media. I wish I knew more this, but at this point, I don’t.”

Rangers are certainly leaving fans guessing with this latest update and have done incredibly well to leave any future deals under wraps to avoid becoming embroiled in needless transfer sagas, and in another latest 4th Official update [1 June], more transfer announcements could be made in the coming days.

Rangers

Rangers certainly have work to do if they are to reign in Celtic next season.

A tally of 92 points is certainly not to be scoffed at, but the fact their Old Firm rivals were just one shy of a century shows there is still a chasm to be breached, and one of the huge steps in closing that gap is signing a consistent goalscorer for next season.

Morelos has proven an invaluable source of goals in the past, and despite his controversial moments in a Light Blues shirt, his presence up front will sorely be missed.

However, he did struggle for goals last season in comparison to previous years which Beale will need to address moving forward.

Rangers have been linked with several promising names in recent past, with moves for the likes of Josh Maja, Kevin Nisbet and Joel Piroe being previously mooted.

The Gers have already signified their intentions and ambition with two new deals over the line but signing a consistent and reliable frontman next could go a long way to proving Beale’s squad have what it takes to fully challenge their Old Firm rivals next season.

Just who could that striker signing be? Intriguing times at Ibrox.

In other Rangers news, the boss has admitted one player is likely to leave this summer.
