Michael Beale reveals ‘strangest’ Rangers situation between Fashion Sakala and Ridvan Yilmaz after St Mirren link up
Michael Beale revealed an unlikely friendship within the Rangers dressing room that is bringing results for his team on the pitch, as told to Rangers TV.
Following the 3-0 win over St Mirren in the final game of the Scottish Premiership season, he commented that Ridvan Yilmaz and Fashion Sakala’s car share has created a double act that few would have predicted.
The duo combined to great effect for Rangers’ opener in Paisley with their bright performances contributing to the three points for the visitors.

The manager went on to praise the efforts of the Zambian as well as Rabbi Matondo who looked to take responsibility by running directly at the Buddies’ defence.
“It’s the strangest carpool in the world,” he said.
“Ridvan Yilmaz and Fashion Sakala, and obviously they are bringing that friendship onto the pitch, which I am delighted with.
“For the second goal, Fashion threatened to do that earlier in the first half, and Rabbi (Matondo), with their dribbling.”

Staking their claim
As the season was played to a finish, it was far from inspiring stuff from Rangers but the whole squad as well as the supporters will be very glad to see the back of an underwhelming campaign.
It was just a case of getting the win and that was what transpired.
For the first of Sakala’s two goals on Saturday afternoon, it was another example of Ridvan’s awareness and ability to execute the right pass at exactly the right moment. He spotted the run of the former Oostende man who showed composure to find the required finish.
Beale knows that he can rely on the pair but to what extent? Sakala has fluffed his lines too often on the big occasion in his typical erratic manner but his numbers mean he will be a useful squad option if he is retained whilst the Turkish international appears to be making progress but his true worth is still to be proven.
In other Rangers news, the club wants to sign this international striker who will cost millions, with two other signings close, according to this report.
