Rangers transfer news as agent set to respond to Parfait Guiagon offers

Any good offers from Rangers or other interested clubs for Ivory Coast Under-23 international Parfait Guiagon are set to be answered positively by the player’s agent, according to ONE.

The Gers have tracked the Maccabi Tel Aviv midfielder throughout the course of this season, and the Israeli club will listen to offers this summer.

Guiagon doesn’t have a release clause in his contract and has not hidden his desire to move abroad in the upcoming transfer window.

Rangers are not the only side in for the 22-year-old’s services, with a top team from the Greek league also expressing interest in the last week.

Michael Beale has not hidden his intentions to overhaul Rangers’ squad this summer, and the announcement by the club that five players would leave this summer hinted that several incomings should be on their way.

If the Gers are to close the gap to Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership, the club need to bring fresh blood into the first-team squad to join January recruits Todd Cantwell and Nicolas Raskin.

Considering these two transfers have looked like strokes of genius so far, it would be wise to trust Beale and the hierarchy to get it right once more, even if it means securing transfers from leagues which are out of sight by regular eyes.

Although Guiagon has had a mixed season under the guidance of two separate managers, he has still finished the season with four goals and two assists from midfield.

He has also made a name for himself as one of the best dribblers in the Israeli league, completing 110 dribbles from 189 attempts this term.
