Stuart Dallas sends two-word message as Rangers contract news emerges

Leeds United defender Stuart Dallas has sent a two-word message to Ryan Jack after the 31-year-old signed a new deal at Rangers.

The former Aberdeen man put pen to paper on a one-year contract extension at Ibrox which will see him head into his seventh season with the club.

Writing on Instagram, Dallas has reacted to the latest news and congratulated the Scotland international.

“Congratulations mate,” wrote the Northern Irishman (personal Instagram, 19 May).

Good work

Getting Jack tied down for another year is a smart piece of work from the board. We all want significant change over the course of the summer, but ensuring trustworthy players remain will be vital. Leaders are an essential part of any successful side and the 31-year-old is exactly that.

He will lead by example and ensure any new additions understand what it means to represent the club. After the recent 3-0 win over Celtic, there’s certainly a more positive feel surrounding the club. There are a number of new players in the pipeline and it’s good to see Beale get down to business early.

The league is now lost and there’s nothing to play for between now and the end of the 2022/23 season. Therefore, focussing on giving squad players a runout and looking to get as much done on the transfer front is a smart idea. With Kieran Dowell, Jack Butland and Dujon Sterling all edging towards completing their move to the Gers, there’s reason to be optimistic.

In other Rangers news, this report claims that the documents have been signed as the Gers beat Benfica to this new signing.
