Jack Butland has a decision to make, to play for medals or more money? The England international is known to be wanted by Rangers manager Michael Beale but now he has been offered to stay at Manchester United, according to the Scottish Sun.
Butland has been on loan at Old Trafford this season, from Crystal Palace where his contract expires at the end of the season.
It has been said that United are prepared to double the wage on offer in Glasgow, with Erik ten Hag wanting the keeper to provide competition for David de Gea.
Now 30 years of age, Butland is approaching a career crossroads. He has the chance to kickstart his career as a number one, in the search of medals and to restore his reputation or he can continue in the background in the Premier League, comfortable in his position at Man United but not likely to get a sustained run in the team.
The upcoming decision will tell Beale all he needs to know, given Rangers need for a hungry, ambitious goalkeeper to come in to take the place of Allan McGregor, this summer.
Rangers will know very soon if they are able to tempt their man north of the border, but they can’t and wo’nt wait around forever.

McCrorie is likely to get at least another two games, before the end of the season, to stake his claim for the number one spot as his stock continues to rise. The longer he keeps on making key impacts like he did in the Old Firm clash against Celtic, the more his popularity will increase.
He is a keeper, full of desire and proving his ability so it is obvious that comparisons will be made to Butland, before or after any potential move to Ibrox for the Englishman.
