Rangers path clear to sign Luis Palma as work permit news emerges
Rangers are locked in talks to sign Aris Thessaloniki’s £4.3million sensation Luis Palma, according to The Scottish Sun.
Honduran newspaper Diario La Prensa reported in its print edition on 29 April (pg 227) that the Light Blues are ready to submit a bid for the left-sided forward.
The Scottish Sun now report on 11 May, that Rangers are “locked” in talks with the Greek side over a move for Palma.

Scotland’s relaxed work permit laws could clear the path for Palma to make the move to Ibrox, with a transfer to England looking unlikely.
It’s understood the 23-year-old is keen to move to a bigger club and that Aris are happy to let him leave if their valuation is met.
Gathering pace
This is a transfer which looks like it’s gathering some momentum. The Honduran winger looks like an exciting addition and could add another dynamic to Michael Beale’s attack. He’s left-footed, pacey, and can play across attacking midfield and upfront.
With Ryan Kent almost certain to depart, a move for Palma makes a lot of sense. Rangers need some fresh ideas in attack. Malik Tillman was a livewire, but it’s extremely unclear whether the American will return to Ibrox in the 2023/24 season.

He could create a chance out of almost nothing, and that’s what will be expected of Palma if and when he completes his move to Ibrox. He’s at an age where he can develop further and Beale will fancy his chances of developing him further in a Light Blue jersey. This is a rumour which won’t go away and could well be a deal that Beale ties up in the early stages of the window.
