Tam McManus slams Michael Beale after Alfredo Morelos decision in Rangers 1-0 win v Aberdeen
Tam McManus has slammed Michael Beale after the Rangers boss decided to play Alfredo Morelos during the 1-0 win over Aberdeen.
The Colombian was introduced in the 66th minute at Ibrox, just after Todd Cantwell’s decisive second-half strike which gave the Light Blues all three points.
McManus has since reacted to Beale’s decision and questioned why he introduced the wantaway 26-year-old.

He told PLZ Soccer’s Football Show (quoted by Football Scotland, 8 May): “I think Beale is speaking candidly and honestly but I think the Rangers fans have seen it all season – he’s (Morelos) not been at it. He doesn’t look fit, doesn’t look hungry.
“So I totally agree with him (Beale) there, but why is he playing him? He’s put him on the pitch. Is there not a young player? Is there not a boy in the B team that’s hungry and got a future? Why’s he playing Morelos?
Get him gone
There’s been a serious lack of clarity when it comes to Morelos’ future at Ibrox. Beale has been non-committal on whether he will sign a new deal and he’s tried to pull the wool over the fan base’s eyes. Everyone can see the striker is disinterested and looking to move on.
Why doesn’t the Rangers boss introduce a younger player, as McManus has suggested? It just doesn’t make sense. Morelos has been an excellent servant during his time at Ibrox, but, his Rangers career is reaching a bitter end.

The fans can see he is looking to move onto pastures new. It’s a saga which should’ve been resolved last summer by Giovanni van Bronckhorst. The Dutchman’s decision to hold onto the striker has left Beale with a mess to clean up and it’s yet to be fully resolved. The sooner the Colombian packs his bags and moves on the better for everyone.
In other Rangers news, the Gers are poised to seal their first summer signing.
