Rangers confirmed XI vs Celtic: Connor Goldson and Ryan Kent return in two changes from Michael Beale
Rangers have confirmed their starting XI for their Scottish Cup semi-final match against Celtic on Sunday (30 April).
Michael Beale has named two changes from the side that lost 2-0 to Aberdeen last Sunday (23 April).
Veteran goalkeeper Allan McGregor is once again the man chosen between the sticks, with the number one expected to be in for a busy afternoon against a strong Celtic attack.
Captain James Tavernier continues at right-back, with Borna Barisic also retaining his spot at left-back. Ben Davies continues at centre-back for Beale, but he partners Connor Goldson, who is in for John Souttar.
Also keeping their places in the starting XI are midfielders Nicola Raskin and John Lundstram.
The trio of Malik Tillman, Todd Cantwell and Alfredo Morelos also stay in Beale’s starting XI in the final third, but Ryan Kent has come in for forward Fashion Sakala, who’s been axed. Colombian striker Morelos is expected to lead the line.

Mammoth clash
With the Scottish Premiership title undoubtedly set to go Celtic’s way, today’s Scottish Cup semi-final clash represents the only real chance for Rangers to get one up over their fierce rivals between now and the end of the season.
There is, of course, the remaining league fixture between the two sides at Ibrox next month, but Gers fans won’t be too worried about that one given what is at stake in the here and now.
There will be a boisterous and colourful atmosphere for the huge clash at Hampden Park, particularly given how Rangers fans were absent for the most recent encounter between the two at Celtic Park.
A favourable tie with Inverness awaits the victor in the final, so it seems that whoever wins this latest Glasgow derby should absolutely go on to lift the famous trophy.
While many players will be disappointed to only make the bench for this meeting with Celtic, they should be fully aware that a real squad effort will be required to overcome Ange Postecoglou’s side.
In other Rangers news, Stephen McGowan has suggested that manager Beale could see one player waving goodbye to the Gers this summer.
