Rangers exit news as Rabbi Matondo could follow Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos on way out
Stephen McGowan has suggested that Michael Beale could see Rabbi Matondo waving goodbye to Rangers this summer in a long list, as shared in the Scottish Daily Mail.
The journalist has reported that when Beale closes his eyes ahead of next season, he will also see Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent waving farewell to Ibrox once their contracts expire.
Matondo only joined from Schalke this season, but his name was interestingly added to the list of potential players setting up to move away from Glasgow.
Writing in his latest column for the Scottish Daily Mail [29 April, pg 118], McGowan shared his thoughts of the players who could be moving on to make way for new arrivals.
“The Rangers manager is shuffling through the final weeks of the season, trying to hold his balance,” he wrote.
“He can see next season looming tantalisingly in the distance. And right now he can’t get there fast enough. When he closes his eyes, he sees Alfredo Morelos, Ryan Kent, Allan McGregor and Rabbi Matondo waving farewell.”

This would be a surprise given that Matondo has only had one season at Ibrox.
Despite that, he hasn’t exactly hit the ground running under Giovanni van Bronckhorst or Beale, so his chance may have already gone with football a brutal game at times.
The speedy winger has been given the odd chance by Beale in recent weeks with little to play for in the Scottish Premiership, but he has escaped the headlines in a negative way.
Morelos and Kent are now set to leave Ibrox, and it is clear that they are not going to sign a new contract given the weeks and months that have passed knowing that could happen.
Connor Goldson did sign a new contract at the very-last second last summer, so that is giving us slight hope, although does lightning really ever strike twice?
Beale is planning a real rebuild at Ibrox given some of the rubbish at his disposal, and it looks as though Matondo could be a victim of that finding another new club.
In other Rangers news, the club are clearly playing a sick joke with their supporters after they made an announcement about a senior player this week.
