Chris Sutton tears 'disgrace' Alfredo Morelos to shreds, says Rangers better off without him
Chris Sutton says Rangers are “better off” without striker Alfredo Morelos, who has “been a disgrace” all season.
Morelos started and played 83 minutes as the Gers lost 1-0 to fierce rivals Celtic in the Scottish Cup semi-final on Sunday (30 April).
Manager Michael Beale has hinted that the Colombian won’t be at the club next season in an interview with Sky Sports (21 April).
Speaking on Viaplay 1 on Sunday (30 April, 03:57pm), Sutton said: “Rangers are really lacking a cutting edge and they’re carrying players like Morelos, who’s been a disgrace for a season now.
“They’re better off without him. The sooner he gets out of the club, the better.”

Even with 11 league goals, Morelos hasn’t had his best season in a Rangers shirt, but that is in part because he has set such high standards over the years.
The Colombian has netted 124 goals during his time in blue, scoring countless key goals in recent seasons to help the Gers be successful on the pitch.
It hasn’t quite happened for him this time around, although the same can be said for many Rangers players, with Celtic closing in on a potential treble.
Gers boss Michael Beale has a very busy summer ahead, and although Morelos is just 26 years old, the striker could be one of the unfortunate ones to make way for new arrivals.
There will be plenty of incomings and outgoings at Ibrox in the coming months, with Beale not having had much time to make these decisions.
But with nothing to play for now, the future of Morelos and many of his teammates can be decided once and for all.
In other Rangers news, one Gers legend believes the club should not pay £5million to Bayern Munich for Malik Tillman and instead bring in someone like Celtic’s Kyogo Furuhashi.
